Two Day Films started in 2004 when a group of filmmakers from Western Kentucky University entered the Nashville 48 Hour Film Project. The idea of making films in just 48 hours was the inspiration to continue making films year round.

About once a year we assemble a cast and crew and meet on Friday night to develop a script. We shoot on Saturday and by Sunday we are editing, composing music and putting on the finishing touches.

As the amount of interest grew at WKU and the Bowling Green, KY area, we decided to start holding our own Two Day Film Challenge in conjunction with the WKU School of Journalism & Broadcasting. The event had grown with over 20 teams and nearly 200 people making short films for the TDFC all competing for the $1,000 first place prize.

In 2010, Two Day Films will be producing another short film. If you are interested in filmmaking and would like to participate, send us an email with your information.
